  • Health care providers’ attitudes toward persons with disabilities can decisively influence their access to health services and the quality of care they receive. This influence becomes even more significant considering that the places where individuals with disabilities report the greatest difficulties in entering and moving around are health care facilities (29.3%) and pharmacies (17.7%).
  • Negative attitudes toward persons with disabilities may lead to inappropriate clinical decisions, delays in access to preventive medical services, and lower quality of medical care.
  • The objective of this study is to validate the Attitudes and Perspectives toward Persons with Disabilities (APPD) scale among pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Metropolitan Lima.
