I am Jhonnel Alarco, leader of the Disability Epidemiology Research Group (EpiDIS) at Universidad Científica del Sur. My research focuses on understanding the multiple dimensions of disability and its impact on diverse populations, primarily through the use of population-based surveys to examine these relationships in real-world contexts.

My work encompasses a broad range of disability-related topics. In particular, I seek to analyze the relationship between disability and access to essential services, such as healthcare and rehabilitation. I also investigate how disability intersects with other social determinants of health, including food security, violence, and access to medicines.
